• Joint Repair System: This is best for chimneys with defective mortar joints, but no other serious damage in the lining system. It involves positioning a custom-made foam applicator blade at the bottom of the chimney, then pulling it up while adding the Cerfractory® Flue Sealant, so it fills in every gap or void. In the end you’re left with a smooth, seamless, and uncracked liner for your flue.
• Resurfacing System: If you’re dealing with damaged mortar joints along with other minor defects, then this would be the better route for you. A custom-made applicator plug will be placed at the bottom of your chimney. It’s then pulled up by a winch, while applying a “tie coat” to prime the flue. After this, the Cerfractory® Flue Sealant is applied at a ¼” thickness to give your chimney a new, smooth, and reliable wall.
• CeCure® Sleeve Relining System: Is your chimney experiencing some major damage – or is it not lined at all? This is the method for you. During this process, a layer of Cerfractory® Flue Sealant will be applied, followed by the CeCure® Sleeve, which is a thin and insulated ceramic sleeve that is reinforced with stainless steel fabric. We follow this up with another layer of Cerfractory® Flue Sealant to seal things up, and then you’re all set.

How does a company qualify to become a HeatShield® Installer?

• They must be daily involved in cleaning, inspecting, repairing, and relining masonry chimneys.
• They must be certified from one or more nationally recognized organizations.
• They must be a member of either (or both) the National Chimney Sweep Guild (NCSG) or the Hearth, Patio & Barbecue Association (HPBA).
• They must offer Level 2 chimney inspections.
• They must complete the HeatShield® Installer factory training course.
